My Bucket List
Many of my colleagues have been posting their bucket lists today. From what I can tell, this was started by Bob Pusateri (Blog | @SQLBob) posting his Bucket List and asking others what is in their bucket list as well. So far this morning, I’ve also read the bucket lists of Aaron Bertrand (Blog | @AaronBertrand | Bucket List) and Brent Ozar (Blog | @BrentO | Bucket List).
I’ve always been a big fan of Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson so of course I’ve seen the movie. The Bucket List was a great movie!! I want to share my bucket list with you. A couple of the items are already checked off.
- My Bucket List
Publish a book on SQL Server- Pro SQL Server 2008 Mirroring
- Publish a horror fiction book
Be recognized as one of the top SQL Server experts- Being a SQL Server MCM fulfills this item in my opinion
- Buy and live on a ranch in Texas
- Retire early enough to enjoy life
- Take my dad to see a Dallas Cowboys home game
- I think time has just about run out for this as he is no longer well enough to make the trip
- Be a season ticket holder for the Dallas Cowboys
- Compete in an MMA cage fight
- Meet my first childhood crush Lynda Carter (Official site | @TheLyndaCarter)
- Play in the World Series of Poker at the same table as Doyle Brunson (Blog | @TexDolly)
- Co-host Saturday Night Live

That would be awesome!! I’ve always enjoyed doing sketch acting. If I can’t co-host, I’d settle for writing some of the skits.
