It is simply this: I relocated 2,900 miles from Maple Valley, WA to Manhattan, New York, NY. We sold our house, drove cross-country to be near my new job, and was still trying to figure out our housing arrangement when the call for submissions for PASS Summit went out. We had just acquired a year-long lease on a one bedroom apartment in Manhattan, and we are still looking for a house to buy out of the city. I felt I just did not have time to dedicate to something as big as the PASS Summit. I have to get my own house in order first.
I have been visiting the local SQL Saturdays within a reasonable driving distance of New York and doing some other local or online events, but that’s the extent of what I feel like I can contribute at this time. I will see you at a future PASS Summit, just not this year.

Awww, I’ll miss seeing you, man. Next time I’m in NYC, I’ll holler to see if you’re around – I’d love to catch up.
